Alternate title: If I make it through this week with my sanity still in tact, it will be because God flooded me with an epic amount of grace. And because of Starbucks.
We ripped up our kitchen yesterday. It was a now or never kind of thing. Either we moved forward with this project in the next two weeks or we wait until Andrew gets back from deployment. Next summer.
I would not like to wait until next summer.
I'm not gonna lie, people - it wasn't pretty. It still isn't pretty. We've hit snags and hiccups and roadblocks and we're not even close to being finished. BUT. I just keep telling myself that my house will most likely look a lot different this time next week.

Or you'll find me huddled in the basement with a box of Krispy Kreme donuts. Regardless, things will be better than they are right now.
Things that I am thankful for:
- A husband who knows what he's doing or can at least figure it out.
- Baby gates.
- Friends who bring me coffee.
- Google. (Example: How to install water shut-off valve?)
- Little boys who don't mind hanging out in the pack-n-play while his parents work.
Maybe the next time I check in there will be new cabinets installed? Fingers crossed! :)
The mere fact that at 11+ months Jack is content in the pack n play, means that God is showering you with HUGE amounts of grace -- and I see no reason to believe he won't continue to do so! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the during and after pictures and just remember, ignore the nutrition gurus, ridiculous amounts of caffeine and chocolate cannot hurt you, unless it's for an EXTREMELY prolonged amount of time -- a couple of weeks is NOTHING!
I know how to install a water shut off valve.
ReplyDeletegood luck w/ the kitchen remodel!!
